In these parts, they just call them "wings"

Not only would we be remiss, but there are many people out there who would be very disappointed had we driven through Buffalo, NY and not stopped for Buffalo Wings.

So we did.

The original Buffalo wing can be found at the Anchor Bar. As the story goes, they were invented on a whim back in 1964 and they've been making them the same way ever since.

The Anchor Bar upon entering looks like an Applebee's on crack, as if a garage sale exploded and landed on the walls. But the further you venture inside you'll find autographed glossy photos of celebrities and other well-to-do'ers; from Willie Nelson to Buddy Rich, Didi Conn to Paul Harvey.

The wings were ordered as a "double" (20 wings) at a medium level spicyness - as they were originally intended.

And they tasted just like Buffalo wings should. Just as you should expect them to do at the home of the original.
